On Olympics and the press

I can’t be the only one who feels this way.   Congratulations to Michael Phelps — what an incredible feat.  Of course, he doesn’t have to work for a living; he said himself he eats, sleeps, and swims.  But how many world records??????

Still, the guy we should be idolizing is Jason Lezak.  Did anyone else watch the race?  Michael Phelps may have won another gold medal – it might even have been the one that set the record; I don’t know – but Jason Lezak won that race.  Anyone else remember that the American team was nearly a body length behind at the turn?  Without his performance, that gold medal would not have happened.  They’re all good; Cullen Jones is a sweetie, but Lezak regained Phelps’ gold medal for him.

  1. No doubt. That race was up there for sure as an Olympic moment. Jason Lezak was the man. Of course you saw how they were cheering him on, especially Phelps. You can’t help but love these swimmers. I mean practicing for 4 years for what will end up being minutes of a performance if athletes get selected for the finals. Just incredible.
