On Olympics and the press – redux

This in today on fox news in an article on the 8th gold: “Sullivan tried to chase down Lezak and appeared to be gaining as they came to the wall, but Lezak finished in 3 minutes, 29.34 seconds — Phelps’ seventh world record in his personal Great Haul of China.”

Yes, I know.  This is like looking for insult.  But combined with my penchant for logic and consistency and grammar ….   I always though the majority of news reporters took college English classes.

This team is incredible.  They fight hard for each other, and they don’t see these relays as four legs, but as one race.  That is Olympics sportsmanship.

Now if only the press understood they are NOT part of the athletic team.  Their job is to report the facts.
