Laws are for the great unwashed masses, I guess

Mayor Bloomberg of New York City certainly doesn’t think laws apply to him.
Despite the fact that voters twice approved referendum measures to limit the mayor to two terms, Bloomberg thinks he’s too important to be stopped by mere laws.  According to many articles, including this, Bloomberg plans to ask City Council to override the measure, and to permit him to seek a third term.

This is not the first time Bloomberg has intimated that laws don’t apply to him.  Recall he’s the one who directed straw purchases in several states (i.e., abetted the commission of a felony), then sued the shop owners for said alleged purchases.

And there are people here in  Northern Virginia who wanted to draft him for President.   D’ya think we need ANOTHER president who’s above the law?  Oh, wait  … that’s rapidly becoming the norm.
